Fall Mood Boards

Fall Mood Boards

Making seasonal and yearly inspiration boards has become one of my favorite practices for gaining clarity about what I'm wanting to bring in each season, providing direction when I feel a little off course, and overall bringing joy and excitement to my art practice and life! As you can see, I am craving deeper warm colors like burgundy and mustard, greens, neutrals...but I also love that pop of teal and bright pink. I am really craving painting moody florals, and just started taking an art class called Lush Bouquets with my original art teacher Alena Hennessy. (Fun fact, I have 2 paintings printed in her book Intuitive Painting Workshop.) I've already painted one floral and plan to paint more and include them in my fall collection. Even though spring feels like more of a time for flowers, I couldn't ignore the pull and I love the idea of making them dark and moody. I also have some abstract pieces in the works with lots of burgundy. Personally, I want to spend more time in cafes, going on fall outings, expressing myself with fall hued fashion (but make it comfy), and maybe even bringing back some green eye shadow... (or maybe not lol).

Here is a closer look at my fall mood boards:

Cheers to cinnamon rolls in the oven, vibrant November sunsets, and hibernation season on the horizon 🖤
